This format is 2-on-2 with set partners but timed rounds against 3-5 opponents on one court. There are 4 total rounds with breaks between rounds. Each round is (2) 6-minute halves with a 3-minute share timeout after 6 minutes, no personal timeouts. Teams are ranked and “snake seeded” onto courts. Teams pick their color for scoring. Teams draw a card to determine the serving order to begin. Queen starts on Queen side (serve receive), Ace serves first, 2 of Clubs serves second, 3 of clubs serves third. Third or last serving team records the first point (if a team scores), then the losing team of the rally records the score (if a team scores).
RULES
Teams only score if they win the rally on the Queen side.
No points for ace and no points for winning the point on the serving side.
No point for missed serve; however, the Queen side will receive one point if all serving teams miss their serve in a row.
Teams that lose the rally, record the score and then go to the end of the serving line, so serving order will change.
Teams must rotate serve each time they serve (honor system).
Teams are trying to score as many points on the Queen side before 15 minutes (12 playing minutes) have expired.
Tiebreak from Round 1 to Round 2 will be based on the original rank.
Tiebreak from Round 2 to Round 3 is combined score of Rounds 1 & 2, then point ratio of Rounds 1 & 2.
Tiebreak from Round 3 to Round 4 is combined score of Rounds 1-3, then point ratio of Rounds 1-3.
Tiebreak in Round 4 is combined score of Rounds 1-4, then point ratio of Rounds 1-4.
